“The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effective you live.”

-Myles Munroe

With the passing of Dolly Parton, this quote seemed relevant. She was someone who tried to make a difference in the lives of others. In fact, from the time my kids were about two years old, they could recognize her. They would receive books from her Imagination Library, so they knew her as “the lady that sends us books.”

Keeping that in mind, I think we should consider how we all put more good out into the world this week. What could you do to help someone in your sphere of influence? What resources do you have that could make a difference to someone else?

As our quote this week says, it isn’t about the amount of time we have on this earth that matters. That is something that is mostly out of our control. However, we do have the ability to make a difference. Even something as simple as sharing a laugh with someone, listening to what they have to say, or giving a hug when they need it the most. Little gestures can mean the world to other people.

This week my encouragement is to take a moment to give. Make a donation or give of your time

to a charitable cause. I think that would be a great way to honor the memory of someone who consistently gave to others.

Now get out there and crush your week!
